When to use partitions

There are several ways to divide the rooms of a house. The most traditional one is by using separation walls between a room and the other, connected by doors .

Patrizia Trevisi: pannello d'arte But the latest trends in the interior design seek to change environments without creating fractures, but rather emphasizing continuity.
For those who wish, therefore, to have wide-ranging environments, with functional subdivisions, but not so clear, at least for part of the house, an effective solution can be to use partitions.

This solution can be used, for example, to create separations between the various spaces of the living area (kitchen, dining and seating area for conversation), without clearly dividing them, but making sure that each area has its own identity. In this way the kitchen may be not in sight, but at the same time not be completely closed.

Or you can use them to divide, in the bedroom, the bedroom itself from the dressing area and bathroom, or even in a very large room, you can cut out a small study area.

At work, you may wish to create, inside the office, a meeting room, a space where you can receive clients or a meeting room, where the presence of one or more partitions is essential to ensure proper privacy.

In short, the partitions have mainly a practical function, but being part of open spaces, it is essential the decorative role. For this reason you can find different types of panels, such as the double-sided ones, essential to decorate both sides of a space, or those sliding, which if necessary can be moved to eliminate the separation between spaces.

For this purpose you can find partitions of great decorative impact both of industrial production, and made by hand, the latter also having a significant artistic value.
So, far from being a disadvantage, the dividers can even help enhancing the character of the environment through art and decoration.
