From the experience of fifty years of Macef, there will be in Milan from 19th to 22nd of January 2014 Homi, the new way of doing fair for the house, design and lifestyle.

In Milan there is a new way of doing Fair. From the experience of fifty years of Macef, the famous international exhibition of the house, comes Homi, a trade fair dedicated to the latest trends and new lifestyles, which will make its debut at Fiera Milano from 19th to 22nd of January 2014. To characterize Homi, there will be multiple settings, where you can admire the creations of the exhibiting companies. Home, design and lifestyle are the key words which will mark the moments and spaces of the new Big Macef.

The welcome inside the exhibition will be given in the Welcome Area while the products of the exhibitors will be available in four thematic Format Store that will trace a path dynamically, to represent the shop of tomorrow. Every Format Store will be divided into several sections with more product categories through which the creations will be exhibited, for a total of ten satellite spaces: Kitchen and dining by Luca Trazzi, Living Habits by Artex-Center for the Arts Artistic, Garden & Outdoor by Valeria Randazzo and Jewels and Fashion by Rita and Tini Bagattini Spaggiari. On the inside, the other four thematic areas: Home Wellness, Frangrances & Personal Care, Gifts & Events, Kid Style, Home Textiles, Hobby & Work and Concept Lab.

As part of the exhibition areas will also be possible for the visitor, to directly experience the products. In fact there will be two open leisure spaces (recreation) respectively dedicated to the taste, Area Ritual, and Culture, Area Library, where the flavors and the most interesting publications on design will be masters of the scene. Homi will become the spokesperson of tastes and trends moving and changing, giving space to the news in the house, design and personal care, with an eye always focused on Italian style, which over time has proved an increasingly and unchallenged point of reference in terms of trends.


The name Homi apparently very simple, alludes to the person and to the living spaces. The O represents the circle that symbolically surrounds the individual and his space while the MI pays tribute to Milan, the city that will host the exhibition. The experience of Homi however, will not end with the event.

Through the virtual space Homiplus, in fact, for eight weeks starting on February 3, you can continue to admire and buy the products put on display during the Fair, always through the ten satellites Homi, which will so, become real business areas within a virtual space. Between the real and the virtual, therefore, visitors will meet again to discover a rich variety of household items, accessories for interior and exterior, all in the name of the latest trends and styles.

Inside the Exhibition, in the category of household items, Cattin Porcelain propose his articles, born from a rich artistic tradition. Shaped by skilled craftsmen, the creations are made from gold, platinum and mineral colors unleaded, and get through the fire, along with the embossed logo, the distinctive semi-transparent effect. The packs, complete with certificate of origin, ensuring the authenticity of the products and that the cottage industry of manufacturing has been under the control of conformity to traditional standards of quality of Made in Italy and to European safety standards.

Also in the category accessories for the house, the Artex instead propose colored items of considerable aesthetic effect and at the same time useful and practical, especially for the bathroom and kitchen: from the smallest and of everyday use, such as the draining board in various sizes and models , until you get to ideas generated to optimize the space, such as pedestals paper holder and toilet brush holder, also available in several versions. As for the outdoor, Stefanplast offers various lines of pots, all with great decorative effect, but also extremely practical, to suit your every need.

It starts from the Traditional line, which includes green items such as saucers, baskets, garden, watering cans, all characterized by simple lines and basic but at the same time taste nice and original, then move on to the line Tulli Pan, with elegant vases and discreetly colored shapes that recall the artistic tulip shape. Elegant and decorative shelves are also available in various models, such as the Gardener, green color combined with traditional products, and shelf Lady, simple character and color of brick, suitable for typically rustic character.
